Please note that several shipping lines have announced rate increases varying from $200 – $400 per TEU from 1 January 2025.
This is in-line with the annual trend in the run up to Chinese New Year as shipping lines see an increase in bookings prior to the closure. Please advise our team as far in advance as possible of any upcoming orders that will need to move prior to CNY, so that we can proactively look for space at the best possible rates.
Europe
The EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) will come into effect on 1 January 2026. Currently only MSC has formalised the rates which will vary in a similar manner to the Bunker Recovery costs.
