Durban Port is currently experiencing major congestion causing delays in container collections and certain block releases to be at standstill. In attempt to alleviate this congestion, bookings to uplift containers at terminal has also been limited resulting is import containers being stored at port for several days. Containers are therefore placed off vessel but not released for collection. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused as we navigate these delays to ensure each unit is collected soonest possible.

Further to the above, shipping lines have been requesting clearance documentation of incoming imports 72hrs prior to vessel ETA. This means all import documentation including Telex for example, needs to be in place well in advance to the berthing of vessel. Please bear in mind that outstanding documentation will cause a further delay in obtaining release.
