Durban Port Operations – Adverse Weather Warning

Dear Valued Client,

Please be advised that due to severe weather conditions affecting KZN, all port operations in Durban have been suspended until further notice. This decision was made to ensure the safety of all personnel and equipment. Transnet will review every 3 hours and open booking slots where possible.

Weather Conditions: The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 4 warning for damaging winds in the eThekwini area, with gusts exceeding 80 km/h expected throughout the day. Additionally, widespread showers and thunderstorms are anticipated, posing potential hazards to port activities.

Impact on Operations: As a precautionary measure, certain vessels have also been evacuated from the port. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as conditions improve and communicate delivery delays per shipment basis.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Should you have any query, please do reach out to our Durban office on 0318180320.
