FAR EAST GRI ANNOUNCED

Dear Valued Client,

Following the previously published Newsflashes regarding the shipping line route adjustments in response to the congestion in South African ports, we can confirm that shipping lines are increasing their rates significantly and NVOCC Operators (co-loaders for LCL cargo) are having to follow suit and increase their rates out of the Far East.

The quantum varies by service provider and route but as a guideline we can confirm increases of over US$ 500 per TEU for FCL movements out of the Far East, and between US$ 40 / wm and US$ 50 / wm for LCL cargo.  As always during these challenging times, forward planning assists us greatly in securing not only space but also the best possible rate and routing for you and ask that we are notified of shipments as far in advance as possible.

Please feel free to contact our Durban office (031) 8180320, should you have any questions.
