Golden Week Holidays & Kenya COO Requirements

Dear Valued Client

China will celebrate their annual national holidays – Golden Week – from the 1st of October to 8th October 2025. Please be advised that agents and service providers will be closed during this period. Taiwan, Singapore, and South-East Asia do not celebrate this holiday and will be operational.

Effective 1 October 2025, all cargo arriving in Kenya must include a valid Certificate of Origin (COO) for customs clearance, as per Kenya Revenue Authority regulations. Shippers should ensure COO is obtained through chambers of commerce or relevant authorities/freight forwarder. Failure to provide a valid COO may result in customs delays, penalties, rejection or return of cargo at the shipper’s cost.
