Dear Valued Client

Please be reminded of the updated SARS requirements on Commercial Invoices for all export shipments. While these data fields have always been part of best practice, customs have implemented stricter checks on the accuracy and completeness of commercial invoices submitted with export declarations. Invoices that are vague, incomplete, or missing critical information may result in processing delays.

  • Full contact details for both Consignor and Consignee
  • Detailed and accurate description of product with HS code
  • Incoterm
  • Payment terms & Bank Name
  • Updated export registration on the RLA platform since 1 April 2025

Our team is committed to guide our export clients to ensure the above data fields are provided.

We would also like to inform our exporters of the new mandatory requirements for all cargo destined for Ghana. Shipments loaded from South Africa must include the consignee’s Tax Identification Number (TIN) on the Bill of Lading. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated to avoid delays in processing at destination.

Should you have any queries, please reach out to our Head Office on 0318180320.
