Dear Valued Client,

There have been multiple ETA movements of vessels planned to berth at our local RSA ports and upon investigation with major shipping lines and supply chain service providers, our ports are still experiencing operational challenges and thus influencing the berthing schedules. Vessels are now waiting outside Durban for minimum 10 days but on average 14-21 days as confirmed by one major shipping line. We have also seen a delay in Cape Town on average 8 days between vessels arriving and berthing. Please note this is an internal review but we ask clients to please keep in mind that Transnet is still experiencing operational delays and specifically Durban Pier 1 is currently experiencing major congestion at staging areas.

Please also refer to the attached notice concerning transhipment delays from Singapore.

Should you have any questions, please do reach out to us for clarification.
