Maersk Empty Turn In

Dear Valued Customer

Maersk turn in depots at various local Durban and Cape Town locations have been turning away transporters returning empty import units due to being at full capacity. Transporters are re-directed to alternative depots mainly at terminal buffer stack, which requires a booking to stack unit and is a much longer empty turn in process. Transporters have communicated that an additional cartage of R1500 will be raised to the importer should Maersk line re-direct the units to these depots. Please be aware of this challenge but where possible, charges will be kept to a minimum and communicated per shipment basis.
