Please note the below summary of restrictions:
Shenzhen:
- City is under complete lockdown
- All residents must undergo 3 mandatory nucleic acid tests between 14 – 20 March
- Offices and factories are closed for this week at least whilst testing is taking place and all non-essential flow and activities will cease
- Ports operating as normal currently as the local government tries to ensure the city’s operations and transportation of goods to ports are unaffected
- Measures will be dynamically adjusted according to Shenzhen Epidemic Prevention and Control
Shanghai:
- City is under partial lockdown
- Majority of factories closed for production, excluding those producing essential goods
- Ports running as normal
- Road freight has become more challenging with some cities putting a ban on trucks from Shanghai or requiring negative PCR tests, putting a strain on facilities, and causing backlogs and shortages
