Please note the below summary of restrictions:

Shenzhen:

  • City is under complete lockdown
  • All residents must undergo 3 mandatory nucleic acid tests between 14 – 20 March
  • Offices and factories are closed for this week at least whilst testing is taking place and all non-essential flow and activities will cease
  • Ports operating as normal currently as the local government tries to ensure the city’s operations and transportation of goods to ports are unaffected
  • Measures will be dynamically adjusted according to Shenzhen Epidemic Prevention and Control

Shanghai:

  • City is under partial lockdown
  • Majority of factories closed for production, excluding those producing essential goods
  • Ports running as normal
  • Road freight has become more challenging with some cities putting a ban on trucks from Shanghai or requiring negative PCR tests, putting a strain on facilities, and causing backlogs and shortages

Please see attached full details as received from our partners in China who are working from home where possible and from the office where necessary.

We would like to again ask clients to please advise us as far in advance as possible of all shipments that you are planning on moving out of this region so that we can minimise potential delays as much as possible.
