PORTS WINDBOUND & HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED IN KZN

Dear Valued Client

Please be aware that Durban and Cape Town Port became windbound earlier this morning. Wind severity has increased during the day, having a major impact on port operations and appointments to uplift containers. Truck appointments specifically for Durban Pier 1 are currently suspended until further notice.

‘Please note that slots have been suspended until further notice as a result from landside being currently windbound.

No further reviews to take place until operation resumes, and backlog is cleared’

It has also been reported that heavy rain is expected throughout KZN this weekend, which too has a major impact on overall port operations and onward deliveries. Our team are on standby and will communicate any delivery delays caused by these adverse conditions.
