IMPORTANT ACTION FOR ALL IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS – PLEASE READ
1.SARS RLA on-boarding process
Please refer to attached correspondence from SARS concerning the RLA system whereby all clients (licensed importers / exporters) are required to update or confirm current registration information by completing and submitting the electronic application and to furnish any additional information required, if applicable.
The instructions on how to apply is noted on page 2 of the attached document and is straight forward once logged onto the SARS efiling profile.

2.Airline Capacity and Regulations
As we progress back to a sense of normality, we are still waiting for some of the airlines to operate at full capacity and to increase rotations on their routes, which seems likely only in the new year.
Please also take note of the following:
• Airlines will not accept PO Box addresses for either the shipper or consignee – A physical address, postal code, contact person and telephone number/s must be provided.
• Ensure that a full description of goods is provided at the time of booking as well as listed on the airfreight instruction form
• All cargo delivered for carriage must be marked and labelled with the consignee’s details, this will help to avoid mis-routed and loss of goods.
• For special commodities such as Live Animals, Dangerous Goods, Perishable Cargo, Time and Temperature sensitive products, must be labelled with the correct special handling labels.
• Hazardous goods must be declared at all times and must be packed according to regulations.
