- Limited staff – SCT Durban – The majority of our staff have been unable so far to make it to the office because of flooding and road closures. Many of our team are on the roads currently and may not see mails that are sent to them for a few hours. Some staff are working from home but there are some that are either on the road or have no power or internet connection. Should you have sent an email and not received a reply please forward it to one of the below email addresses so that we can attend to it.

2. Shanghai Covid Closure
Due to an increasing number of Covid cases, Shanghai remains on lockdown. While the port is technically operational the movement of drivers in the city and closures of multiple warehouses and factories mean that cargo continues to be delayed. Airfreights are continuing on an exceptionally limited basis, with prices increasing daily.
3. Durban Flooding
After continued heavy rain last night several parts of Durban have flooded, and a large portion of Bayhead Road has washed away. Movements in and out of the port are impossible with the damage to the surrounding roads. We are in contact with all stakeholders to assess what is possible, but we would anticipate that very little cargo will move at all over the next 24 hours.
