Update: Transnet Operations and Strike Action

The continued strike is as disruptive for us as it is for you and we understand your frustration during these challenging times in our industry. The status of all shipments are monitored closely by our team and clients will be updated accordingly.

  1. Transnet wage negotiations are still underway, and members of the transport union are gathered on the streets of Bayhead in an authorised picket to support the protected strike.

  1. Durban Container Terminal – Terminals are currently not operational, and all landside has been suspended

Please note that all booking appointments to uplift containers are on hold until further notice. We sincerely apologise for this delay as no deliveries can be honoured to clients waiting for their cargo. Trucking partners are on standby and will continue to monitor 

  1. Vessels calling Durban port are still being serviced and a manual schedule has been setup to allow berthing of certain vessels.

Pier 2 : Completely on standby due to manning. Seaspan Kyoto is currently on the berth at NP108 and there are 4x vessel in total.

Stacks occupancy at 67% with 207 reefer (137 import and 60 export)

Pier 1 : 1 x Gangs across on Bear Mountain Bridge. The other vessel is on standby.
